Accounting Intern

We're looking for a detail-oriented and driven Accounting intern to join our team for the summer This seasonal role is a great opportunity for someone looking to build real-world experience in accounting and gain exposure to how financial operations support a growing e-commerce business.

As our Accounting intern, you'll help ensure our financial records are accurate, transactions are reconciled promptly, and our inventory and performance reports are up to date. You'll work closely with our Controller and be a key part of our accounting team during a busy and exciting time of year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile customer orders and payments daily across multiple platforms (Shopify, Amazon, etc.)
  • Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
  • Maintain and update inventory and sales tracking systems
  • Assist in preparing performance reports, budgets, and company KPIs
  • File and record monthly sales tax filings
  • Complete monthly reporting tasks such as royalty reports, return/discount summaries, and sales analyses
  • Update supporting financial documents, including the All Sales Receipts Report, Embroidery Cost Analysis, and Product Release Date Tracker
  • Meet weekly with the Controller to review tasks, troubleshoot issues, and track progress
  • Identify and recommend improvements to current accounting processes

Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience is a plus
  • Experience with QuickBooks is preferred, but not required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and comfortable with web-based tools
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and consistent in completing tasks
  • A strong communicator and a team player with a can-do attitude
  • Interested in learning and contributing to a business from the inside out

This is a part-time position. It's ideal for someone pursuing accounting or business, or someone with a knack for numbers looking to grow their skillset in a meaningful and supportive work environment.
