Job Overview

John G's is a landmark breakfast and lunch restaurant located in Manalapan Florida ( just North of Boynton ) . We are seeking a dedicated and skilled AM Breakfast/Lunch Line Cook to join our culinary team. Extended experience in eggs cooking is a must . This role is essential in preparing and presenting high-quality meals for breakfast and lunch service, ensuring a satisfying dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong food preparation skills, culinary experience, and a passion for food safety and presentation.

Duties

  • Prepare and assemble breakfast and lunch items according to menu specifications and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage and sanitation practices
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during food preparation
  • Ensure all food handling complies with safety regulations and dietary guidelines
  • Support the team with additional food service tasks such as plating, serving, or assisting with catering events as needed
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
  • Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure guest satisfaction

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook within a restaurant or food service environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
  • Experience with menu planning, catering, or fine dining is preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service hours
  • Good understanding of dietary requirements and ability to adapt recipes accordingly
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and cleanliness
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills
