Director of Nursing (DON) – Skilled Nursing Facility | Cincinnati, OH

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our skilled nursing facility in Cincinnati, Ohio. The DON will oversee all aspects of nursing operations, ensuring the highest quality of resident care, regulatory compliance, and team engagement. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and daily oversight for the nursing department.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centered clinical care in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive and professional workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor infection control, quality assurance, and risk management programs.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies and survey readiness at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to support satisfaction and trust.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Current RN license in the State of Ohio (required).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal regulations (CMS, OBRA, etc.).
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate diverse clinical teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
