Position Summary

2Prod Technologies Corp. is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong GitLab expertise to support and enhance enterprise platforms. This role will focus primarily on GitLab while also maintaining Jira and Confluence in a secure federal environment. The ideal candidate will proactively drive improvements, implement automation, and advocate for broader adoption of GitLab across the organization. This position plays a key role in optimizing developer workflows, strengthening platform reliability, and ensuring compliance with federal security standards.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and optimize GitLab, Jira, and Confluence, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
  • Design, implement, and enhance CI/CD pipelines in GitLab with integrated security and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain automation for build, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Manage infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux server administration.
  • Conduct platform gap analysis and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and user adoption.
  • Act as a GitLab ambassador, demonstrating value and encouraging adoption across teams.
  • Provide technical consultation on upgrades, features, and integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal security requirements (e.g., NIST

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Strong hands-on GitLab administration and CI/CD experience
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Proficiency in Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL)
  • Skilled in Bash/Shell and Python for automation
  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (K8s/EKS), and Helm
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts clearly
  • Prior federal government experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years supporting enterprise applications or platforms
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience migrating applications from on-premises to cloud environments
  • Proven experience improving or optimizing platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or Ansible
