Reliability Engineer (Steel Manufacturing) – Remote / Lewisville, OH
Location: Lewisville, Ohio, USA (Remote option available)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer with a strong background in Steel Manufacturing to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead reliability initiatives, perform risk-based analyses, and drive asset optimization to enhance equipment performance, safety, and uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Risk-Based Analysis using tools such as Criticality Analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Lead and support Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
- Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to identify and eliminate recurring issues.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to enhance equipment reliability.
- Optimize asset hierarchy, critical spares, and Bill of Materials (BOM) for maintenance efficiency.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, and equipment manuals to support troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) compliance.
- Utilize CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP, MAXIMO, or MP2 for maintenance management.
- Support manufacturing, machine debugging, and process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of reliability engineering experience in Steel Manufacturing or a related heavy industrial field.
- Strong background in Risk-Based Analysis (Criticality Analysis, FMEA).
- Mandatory Certifications:
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP)
- Certified Reliability Leader (CRL)
- Hands-on experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with tool room and assembly processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (a plus).
- Experience with SAP, MAXIMO, or MP2 maintenance systems.
- Knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance technologies.
