This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days per week in office in Cornelius, NC.

Seeking a Staff Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and assist with the overall accounting operations of the organization. This role supports the month-end close process, account reconciliations, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities


• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable full cycle


• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation


• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations


• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports


• Maintain and update the general ledger


• Support month-end and year-end closing processes


• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash transactions


• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies


• Collaborate with auditors by providing required documentation and explanations


• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications


• Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred1–3 years of

accounting experience (internship experience may be considered)


• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles


• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP)


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills


• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Experience with Quickbooks Online and


• Prior experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environment
