What you bring to the table::

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

BSN or equivalent combination of education and experience required

(MSN preferred)

  • Nursing experience: 3+ years of floor nursing
  • Management experience: 5+ years in long-term care

Preferrable in a Director of Nursing (DON) or an Assisted Director of Nursing (ADON)

  • Licensure: RN license in good standing in Illinois
  • Strong experience developing and implementing quality improvement programs
  • Ability to translate the goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department into actionable items
  • Knowledgeable in state reporting and the ability to develop and implement plan of corrections
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team:

Duties and Responsibilities::

  • Supervise all nursing staff
  • Overseeing department budgets
  • Maintaining high standards of care for all residents
  • DON acts as a Liaison between doctors, patients, and family members about resident's plan of care
  • Director of Nursing collaborates on the recruitment and training of new nursing staff
  • Ensure proper training for staff on department policies
  • Nursing Director implements quality improvement programs to help us deliver the highest possible levels of care in our community:
