ABOUT EVOEDUCATES
EvoEducates is the education division of Music Evolved Records, delivering career-aligned and culturally relevant education programs for students, artists, and institutions. We partner with high schools, colleges, universities, school districts, and workforce development programs to provide curriculum, certifications, and real-world career pathways.
We are entering a focused growth phase and are seeking a senior sales leader to build institutional revenue from the ground up.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Director of Education & Institutional Sales is a senior, revenue-driven leadership role responsible for launching and scaling EvoEducates' education revenue through institutional sales (primary focus) and online program sales (secondary focus).
This role is designed for a proven education sales professional with an existing rolodex of high schools, colleges, universities, or districts who can immediately open doors, pitch decision-makers, and close contracts.
Year 1 focuses on direct selling and disciplined execution.
Year 2 expands into team leadership and additional programs.
YEAR 1 FOCUS
Two Core Programs Only
Core Institutional Program (B2B – Primary)
You will sell and close education programs to:
- High schools
- Colleges and universities
- School districts
- CTE and workforce development programs
Deal types include curriculum licensing, semester or annual contracts, multi-campus agreements, and workshops with certification programs.
Core Online Program (B2C – Secondary)
You will support enrollment growth for one core online education program in collaboration with marketing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Institutional Sales Execution
- Leverage an existing education rolodex to generate immediate opportunities
- Pitch directly to superintendents, principals, deans, department heads, and program directors
- Own the full sales cycle including prospecting, presentations, contract negotiation, and closing
- Close $25,000–$250,000+ institutional contracts
- Manage renewals and expansion opportunities
Online Program Revenue
- Drive enrollment and revenue for the core online program
- Collaborate with marketing on messaging and conversion strategy
- Track performance and revenue metrics
Sales Operations and Reporting
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in the company CRM
- Provide weekly revenue and activity updates
- Maintain disciplined focus on Year 1 priorities
YEAR 2
EXPANSION OPPORTUNITY
After Year 1 revenue benchmarks are achieved, this role expands to building and managing an institutional sales team, expanding into additional programs, owning national education partnerships, and advancing into a VP or Head of Education Revenue role.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
- Active rolodex of high schools, colleges, universities, or school districts
- Proven experience selling education, curriculum, or institutional programs
- Track record closing high-value B2B education deals
- Comfort selling to senior education leadership
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
Candidates without existing education relationships will not be considered.
COMPENSATION AND INCENTIVES
Monthly Draw
- A $2,000 monthly draw activates after the first institutional deal is closed
- Draw is recoverable against earned commissions
- Continued draw eligibility is tied to ongoing performance
Commission Structure (No Cap)
Institutional Sales
- 10% on the first $100,000
- 12% on $100,001–$250,000
- 15% on $250,001–$500,000
- 18% on $500,001+
Online Program Sales
- 5% base commission
- Increases to 7% after $50,000 in online revenue
Bonuses
- $2,500 fast-start bonus for $100,000 closed within the first 90 days
- $5,000 quarterly bonus for $250,000+ closed in a single quarter
- $10,000–$25,000 annual performance bonus based on total revenue and renewals
EXPECTED YEAR 1 EARNINGS
- $75,000–$100,000 for solid performance
- $120,000–$150,000 for strong performance
- $180,000+ for top performers
