Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable, competitive, and completed on time. Duties

  • Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop comprehensive construction estimates
  • Utilize estimating software to prepare detailed cost proposals
  • Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground information and assess construction conditions
  • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing and terms that align with project budgets
  • Analyze labor, material, equipment costs, and subcontractor bids to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
  • Prepare detailed bid packages and present estimates for review by senior management or clients
  • Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to maintain budget adherence
  • Assist in contract negotiations by reviewing terms related to scope of work, costs, and timelines
  • Support project management teams by providing cost forecasts and change order evaluations
  • Maintain organized records of all estimating documents, contracts, and correspondence for future reference

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology
  • Hands-on construction site experience is highly desirable to better understand field conditions and challenges
  • Strong knowledge of Bluebeam for digital markup and document management
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiation with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to achieve favorable terms
  • Familiarity with contract review and administration within the construction industry
  • Experience in cost control strategies to optimize project budgets without compromising quality or safety
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously while meeting deadlines
