This is a full-time position based at our Redwood City office.

Compensation for this role ranges from $20-$25 per hour, with a 90-day evaluation period.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-contact technical support to customers via phone, email, chat, and remote tools
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot PC hardware and software
  • Communicate complex problems to Tier 2 Support as needed
  • Document customer interactions and resolutions in the support database
  • Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide timely updates on issue resolution status.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on computer hardware and software to prevent future issues.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction by delivering timely, accurate, and professional support

Requirements

  • Multi-tasking (phone, live chat, and email support messages in parallel)
  • Customer-first mindset with a strong ability to assess the impact on customer sentiment and satisfaction, as well as on operational and logistical execution to meet customer demands
  • 2 years of technical support/customer service experience
  • 1-2 years Experience with PC hardware assembly and troubleshooting
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience dealing with businesses and business clientele
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and common software applications such as Linux, Ubuntu, Windows
