Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Bus Driver to join our transportation team. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting our afterschool campers from school to their destinations while providing excellent customer service. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage camper's behavior, and a commitment to ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for all passengers.

Responsibilities:

- Safely operate a mini school bus and transport campers to their designated locations

- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving

- Maintain a clean and organized bus interior

- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus as needed

- Communicate with passengers in a professional and courteous manner

- Manage passenger behavior and address any issues or concerns that may arise during the journey

- Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely arrival at each destination

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in proper working order

- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel

Qualifications:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • No CDL Required
  • Previous experience as a bus driver
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with passengers of all ages and backgrounds
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques when dealing with children or challenging situations
  • Commercial driving experience is preferred but not required
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
