ETHOS Consulting Engineers is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer with project management experience to join our growing MEP design team. The ideal candidate is both technically strong and client-facing — someone who can take full ownership of projects from concept through construction while maintaining quality, schedule, and client relationships.

In this role, you'll lead multidisciplinary MEP projects across diverse sectors including commercial, education, senior living, retail, and adaptive reuse. You'll coordinate directly with architects, owners, and contractors to develop innovative, energy-efficient HVAC and plumbing systems that meet evolving building codes and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:


• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, managing schedules, budgets, and client communication.


• Lead mechanical system design from schematic through construction documents.


• Coordinate effectively with electrical and plumbing disciplines within the firm.


• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and code compliance analysis.


• Oversee junior staff and perform QA/QC of drawings and specifications.


• Support construction administration, including submittal reviews and field observations.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.


• 5–10 years of MEP design experience; professional licensure (PE) preferred.


• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, energy codes, and Revit MEP.


• Proven ability to manage projects and communicate directly with clients.


• Experience with design for electrification, VRF, DOAS, or heat-pump systems is a plus.
