Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook and/or Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the kitchen, assisting in meal preparation and ensuring that all food safety and handling standards are met. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a love for the food industry, we want to hear from you
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation for catering events and daily service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure the quality and safety of all food items.
- Help with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and storing food products properly.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred, but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Passion for cooking and the ability to adapt to changing menus or dietary needs.
