Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated FOH Manager to lead our dynamic food service team. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. As a Restaurant Manager, you will drive team performance, manage inventory, and uphold operational excellence to deliver memorable dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all restaurant activities, including food preparation, service delivery, and kitchen operations
- Oversee staff training, development, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and skilled team
- Manage shift schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours for smooth operations
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; oversee cash handling procedures
- Support customer service initiatives by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production and quality standards are met
- Implement food management practices to optimize costs while maintaining high-quality offerings
- Conduct regular audits of restaurant cleanliness, safety protocols, and operational procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining environments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking processes, and kitchen management
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential
- Demonstrated ability in inventory control, budgeting, and food cost management
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training & development and team management
- Background in hospitality management or food service management preferred; hotel or catering experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues effectively
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with supervising kitchen operations, managing shifts, and conducting interviews for new hires
