Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top and most respected Detroit law firms as an intake specialist. You will be responsible for the intake of potential clients from all sources: Social media, direct referrals, and attorney referrals. Also, occasional reception duties will be required.

Must have excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, able to multitask, compassionate and empathetic, and knowledgeable of computer systems and Microsoft Office. We are looking for an intake specialist who has the motivation to learn.

Job Description:

  • Must be comfortable answering and screening phone calls, obtaining necessary information from potential clients in a fast-paced environment, including empathetically obtaining necessary and recording accurate information from potential clients.
  • Be efficient in following up with potential clients, attorneys, and referral sources.
  • Promptly and professionally respond to inquiries from potential clients and current clients by phone, email, and text.
  • Ability to transfer calls to the appropriate staff members.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other members of the Intake Department.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills.
  • Maintain professionalism and dependability.
  • New hires will be on a mandatory 90-day probationary period. 30-day reviews will be conducted for a progress report to measure performance.
  • Opening and closing electronic and physical files promptly – must be proficient in retrieving paper files upon request.

Experience:

  • Previously or currently employed at a call center, with extensive experience answering and making calls.
  • Previous law office experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Minimum of two years of customer service skills.
  • Applicants are required to be proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Previous experience with programs such as Clio, DocuSign, and Captorra, preferred.
