Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles, including box trucks and other delivery vans, following all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Load and unload goods using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel usage.
  • Deliver packages and goods to customers' locations accurately and on schedule, providing friendly and professional customer service.
  • Assist with warehouse tasks including inventory management, stock organization, and preparing shipments for delivery.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch or supervisors regarding delivery status or issues encountered during routes.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with knowledge of route driving best practices.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients.
  • Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or similar large vehicles with manual transmission.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of packages or equipment safely.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle operated, with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and warehouse environments.
  • Physical stamina to stand, lift, load/unload, and move items throughout the shift efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring our customers receive their orders promptly while maintaining high safety standards and excellent service quality.

Job Type: Temporary

Expected hours: No more than 15 per week
