Seeking:

  • Full Time Lead Early Preschool Teacher
  • Year round
  • 7am-3:30pm with 1 hour lunch break

Candidate Qualifications: Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Special Education. At minimum hold a CDA certificate.

* Must have prior experience in an Early Childhood Classroom.

Candidate Skills/Job Description:

  • Energetic loving personality who has a genuine affection for Early Childhood.
  • Has the ability to work collaboratively with a Teaching Team and values and respects others input.
  • Knowledge and adherence to Rule 3.
  • Able to create and implement Theme Based learning with respect to child guided learning as well.
  • Maintain in conjunction with other Lead Teacher a developmentally appropriate, safe, nurturing, inspired weekly curriculum that meets program objectives.
  • Must be fluent in documentation and assessments of child's development in areas of Cognitive, Social, Emotional and Physical Development.
  • Open to guidance from the Director and recognizes and respects program mission statement.
  • Excels in ability to communicate with parents both verbally and written.
  • Has strong classroom management skills and utilizes positive social-emotional problem-solving strategies.
  • Has knowledge of Early Childhood Behaviors and is familiar with the philosophies of Mindfulness and Conscious Discipline.
  • Finds JOY in creating a classroom environment that provides for a multitude of learning styles and meets the needs of children specific to that room.

Expectations:

  • Comfortable lifting 45 lbs. and has flexibility and range of motion to be on floor with children.
  • Understands and practices professionalism, confidentiality, and is reliable.
  • Arrives on time and is clean, prepared and organized.
  • Has reliable mode of transportation.
  • Is warm and nurturing, can connect with young students and families
  • Can build engaging curriculum plans that's are developmentally appropriate to the age group they are teaching
