MEA Forensic Engineers & Scientists is looking for an energetic and out-going Marketing and Business Development Manager to work full-time and in-person in its Laguna Hills, California office. The successful candidate will have a direct impact on the growth of a specialized engineering firm operating in a unique business space.

We are looking for someone to join our marketing team and help build connections between our engineers and our insurance and legal clients. Working closely with your counterparts in Vancouver and Toronto offices, you will help strengthen MEA's position as a leading forensic engineering firm. This position is onsite in our Orange County, CA office, and the salary range is $100,000 to $120,000.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Help develop a marketing strategy for MEA's California office, and each of its engineers, consistent with the company's core values
  • Find new marketing opportunities for MEA and its engineers
  • Create seminars where MEA engineers present to legal and insurance audiences; these may be in-person, virtual, or a hybrid
  • Coordinate MEA sponsorships & attendance at trade shows, golf tournaments, legal and insurance networking events, etc
  • Develop and coordinate creative events for client appreciation
  • Identify key client trends based on a client database
  • Collaborate with MEA's small marketing team on a variety of other tasks, as required

Required qualifications

  • A degree in marketing, business administration, business development, project management or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing, business development or event coordination
  • The organizational skills required to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to track and aggregate data using Excel or similar software
  • A curious and resourceful nature

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working in professional services, insurance, legal or consulting industry a strong asset
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Current driver's license
