Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, fostering strong relationships, and driving business growth through effective negotiation and sales strategies. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and sales expertise, particularly in B2B transportation and logistics environments. As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling transportation solutions within the Supply Chain.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with key clients, gaining a deep understanding of their logistics and supply chain operations.
- Monitor performance indicators to ensure efficiency, customer satisfaction, and alignment with service goals.
- Lead periodic business reviews to assess results, address challenges, and identify future opportunities.
- Actively seek and secure new business opportunities, designing logistics and transportation solutions that bring value to both new and existing clients.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Carrier Solutions and Operations, to enhance carrier utilization, control costs, and improve service delivery.
- Keep customer records up to date, participate in bids and proposals, and coordinate client meetings as needed.
- Maintain long-term account strategies to meet growth targets and ensure deliverables are achieved.
- Direct cross-functional efforts to craft and implement tailored solutions for client needs.
- Negotiate rates and service agreements based on market intelligence, seasonal trends, and lane performance data to optimize margins.
- Ensure operational compliance with all load-specific requirements such as timely deliveries, pickup accuracy, and proper equipment use.
- Resolve service issues promptly, escalating matters when necessary to senior leadership.
- Manage team workload to maintain accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in reporting and communication.
- Represent the company in a professional manner within the logistics and transportation industry.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree desired.
- 2-3+ Years experience in sales in transportation, logistics, or comparable industry.
- Understanding of logistics company services and solutions.
- Strong ability with Microsoft office suites.

Projected Total Compensation: $60, $80,000.00 per year
