Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and freshness
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including food handling and storage
  • Support food preparation for catering events or special functions
  • Serve dishes efficiently during service hours, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely meal delivery
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
  • Uphold high standards of food presentation, taste, and quality at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, dietary department, or restaurant cook
  • Strong culinary skills including knife proficiency and meal preparation techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
  • Experience with menu planning, food presentation, and fine dining service preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Prior experience in catering or serving is a plus
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
