Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with their shopping needs, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will play a key role in driving sales through effective communication, product knowledge, and merchandising skills.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers.
  • Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer's shopping experience and increase sales.
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandise display through effective merchandising practices.
  • Stock shelves and ensure inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demand.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions accurately and assist with inventory management.
  • Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer engagement.
  • Experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in basic math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
  • Ability to perform merchandising tasks effectively to create an inviting shopping atmosphere.
