Process Engineer

The Process Engineer will play a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes, integrating new technologies, and supporting food production operations. This role involves researching and implementing advanced food processing equipment, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and driving operational efficiency. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to support both domestic and international operations.
Responsibilities- Research, evaluate, and recommend new process technologies and equipment through vendor shows and site visits (North America & Europe).
- Collaborate with vendors to collect technical specifications, pricing, and documentation; manage vendor relationships during procurement.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to validate equipment performance.
- Lead the transition of projects from engineering to operations, ensuring smooth adoption of new process lines.
- Analyze existing processes for inefficiencies, perform ROI analysis, and propose improvements.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and support to Maintenance and Operations during upgrades and commissioning.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation using SharePoint and internal systems.
- Travel domestically and internationally for site assessments, vendor visits, and implementation projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, or related technical field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in food processing or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Technically inquisitive, with passion for advancing food manufacturing technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication; effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong time management skills with ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
