This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial remodels, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Remodeling Contractor will oversee project timelines, coordinate with clients and team members, and ensure all work meets industry standards.

Duties

  • Manage and oversee remodeling projects from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
  • Perform or supervise skilled trades such as carpentry, drywall installation, flooring, tile laying, masonry, roofing, stucco application, plastering, concrete forming and finishing, cabinet installation, glass installation, door hanging, framing, caulking, trim carpentry, fabrication, restoration work, heavy equipment operation, welding, construction painting, and masonry.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials like concrete, steel, glass, or fixtures.
  • Conduct construction inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Estimate project costs using construction estimating techniques; manage budgets effectively.
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding project progress and address any issues promptly.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction management or as a general contractor with a strong background in remodeling projects.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with bluebeam software for project documentation and schematics review.
  • Demonstrated expertise in multiple trades including carpentry (frame carpentry), roofing, flooring installation (tile laying), masonry (concrete finishing), plastering, stucco application, fabrication techniques, restoration projects, heavy equipment operation (if applicable), welding skills (preferred), and other specialized construction skills listed above.
  • Ability to read detailed blueprints and schematics accurately.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations related to residential or commercial remodeling.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
