Role overview

We are hiring an experienced project manager to own jobs from planning through closeout. You will manage onsite execution and project records in our software, coordinate schedules and materials, document changes, and be the primary contact for clients, general contractors, and our installation teams. We want someone who communicates clearly, manages conflict calmly, and brings practical, forward-looking solutions when problems arise.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage projects from kickoff through closeout including scheduling, material planning, managing subcontractors, and onsite handoff
  • Maintain accurate project records in our job management software
  • Perform pre installation site inspections and document existing conditions including potential moisture and substrate issues
  • Manage change orders end to end: confirm approvals, document scope and cost changes, update schedules, and communicate impacts to stakeholders
  • Coordinate logistics so jobs are ready for installation and remain on schedule
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, superintendents, and internal teams; set expectations and provide regular status updates
  • Read and follow plans and project addenda; raise issues early and propose workable solutions
  • Handle product claims and field issues quickly while protecting relationships and company interests
  • Perform measurements, pick up materials, or take on small site tasks as needed

  • Projects completed on time and within budget with satisfied clients
  • Clear, factual communication that reduces rework and surprises
  • Clean change order and billing records with timely approvals
  • Strong working relationships with clients and installation crews
  • Early identification of risks and practical mitigation plans

Required qualifications

  • Proven experience managing construction or field service projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally
  • Excellent organization and follow through; experience with job management software or ERP style systems
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and basic technical documents
  • Comfortable working onsite and in the office
  • Reliable and professional in client and crew interactions

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with carpet, LVP, tile, and hardwood products helpful
  • Experience with RFMS Measure or similar estimating and measuring tools
  • Experience coordinating with general contractors and managing multiple subcontractor schedules
