Position Type: Full Time, Live-Out

Start Date- End Date: Late February or Early March 2026, Long Term Years)

Hourly Rate: $18-$24/hour (Depending on experience/education)

Guaranteed Hours: 30 Guaranteed Weekly Hours

Weekly Schedule:

• Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM

Family Description:

• This is an active family of three, including a lively toddler. They enjoy spending quality time together through outdoor activities such as walks, playtime at the park, reading, singing, dancing, and engaging in imaginative play. Weekends are typically filled with these enriching and interactive experiences. Mom works from home full-time in a dedicated office space, while Dad has a hybrid schedule, occasionally working from home as well. The family places strong importance on values such as kindness, patience, their faith, and a deep respect for education. There are no other live-in family members, though a cleaning service visits the home biweekly (with the possibility of moving to weekly), and lawn care professionals are on-site periodically.
• This family is preparing to welcome their infant in February and is thoughtfully considering their approach to caregiving and development. Since the baby has not yet been born, preferences and routines such as temperament, interests, sleep habits, and feeding schedules are still to be determined. The family values fresh air and outdoor time and encourages the nanny to take the baby on walks or spend time in the backyard. Mom works from home and plans to nurse during breaks, while also providing pumped breast milk in bottles for on-demand feedings. Decisions regarding purees, baby-led weaning, sleep training, and nap schedules will evolve as the baby grows, with the possibility of starting sleep training around six months. The preferred nap location and methods for comforting the baby will also be determined based on the baby's needs. The family plans to support developmental milestones through reading, interaction, imaginative play, and tummy time.

Home Environment:

• The family's home is located in a neighborhood with sidewalks that are safe for walking, and there is a park within walking distance.
• The backyard features plenty of seating areas, offering a comfortable space to sit with the baby and enjoy outdoor time.
• There is no pool on the property.
• Baby items, toys, and activities will primarily be located in the family room.
• The home is equipped with exterior security cameras for safety and baby monitors inside.

• There are no pets in the household, so there are no pet-related responsibilities or concerns.

Daily Schedule:

• A typical daily schedule is not yet established, as the baby has not been born.
• Meals for the child will consist of bottles; no additional meal preparation is needed at this time.
• The family would like the nanny to keep a daily record of the baby's eating, sleeping, and diaper changes. Mom is considering using an app or a printable tracking sheet for this purpose.

• No transportation will be required.

Responsibilities:

• The family's ideal nanny is patient, loving, kind, and has experience with newborns. They would also like someone who actively plays with and engages the baby in meaningful interaction
• The family's parenting style emphasizes gentle, respectful caregiving. Boundary-setting will evolve with the child's development, but the nanny is expected to follow the family's lead in maintaining a calm and consistent approach.
• No screen time will be permitted for the baby.
• Education is encouraged through interactive play, reading books, and the use of educational toys, with a focus on hands-on, age-appropriate learning.
• Light household responsibilities will include unloading and reloading the dishwasher, and possibly doing the baby's laundry as needed.

• There are no additional responsibilities or expectations beyond caring for the child and light child-related household tasks.
• The family does not need the nanny to provide any transportation.

Qualifications:

• Nanny should have received all standard childhood vaccines and be open to a flu shot during flu season.
• If COVID ramps up again, family prefers a nanny who would be open to receiving a vaccination for this.
• Nanny should be open to communicating with the family when not feeling well as not to pass on any illness to the newborn.
• 5+ years of childcare experience.
• Comprehensive criminal background checks.
• Verification of social security numbers and addresses.
• National sex offender registry searches.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable and insured vehicle.
• Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification.
• Safe Sleep Training Provided by Coastal Child Care
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Non-smoker
