Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Floater to join our educational team from 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Monday through Friday. This role is essential in providing support across various classrooms, assisting teachers and ensuring a nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a passion for fostering childhood development.

Duties

  • Support classroom teachers in implementing curriculum and lesson plans effectively.
  • Engage with children through various activities that promote literacy education, math skills, and physical education.
  • Assist in behavior management and classroom management to create a positive learning environment.
  • Provide care for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Participate in early intervention strategies for children with special needs or developmental delays.
  • Facilitate standardized testing as required and assist with tutoring sessions for students needing additional support.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop curriculum materials that meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding child welfare and progress.

Experience

  • Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
  • Familiarity with early childhood education principles, including Montessori methods, is highly desirable.
  • Background in special education or experience working with students requiring additional support is a plus.
  • Strong skills in lesson planning, classroom experience, and knowledge of childhood development are required.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
