(CCC):  CCC is in its 8th year teaching private swim lessons in Central PA.  Our team prides themselves in teaching approximately 750 private swim lessons every month.  We teach all ages & levels of students.  Every non-swimmer that goes through our program learns what to do if they accidentally fall in the water.  After a student is safe in the water we start backstroke, freestyle, work on endurance, and continue with breaststroke, and butterfly.

We're looking for a
part-time Private Swim Lesson Manager

to teach private swim lessons, oversee our team of swim coaches, ensure an exceptional experience for our students and their families, and assist our office manager with scheduling and Google Workspace tasks.  This role requires
15-25 hours per week

, with required availability during the evenings and occasionally on weekends.  During the busy season (April-July), hours per week will be higher.  Starting pay is
$31 to $34/hour.

Job Details:

  • Average of 15-25 hours per week, with required availability during the evenings and occasionally on weekends.
  • During the busy season (April to August), hours will increase (not to exceed 35 hours).
  • Starting pay range is $31 to $34/hour.
  • Teach private swim lessons at least 1 day per week, to students of all ages and levels.
  • This position is hybrid: at three pool locations in central, PA as well as remote administrative work.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Private lesson Manager, you will be the backbone of our coaching team, teaching private swim lessons, and are  responsible for ensuring quality and consistency in our swim lessons.  Your main duties will include:

  • Teach private swim lessons:

Embrace and understand our students/parents and the CCC teaching process.
- Communication & Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for coaches, parents, and management. You will communicate with the team, address coach and parent complaints, and answer manager issues.  This includes regularly checking in on coaches and conducting quarterly performance evaluations.  You will work closely with the CCC admin team.
- Operational Oversight:

Ensure smooth daily operations by reviewing coaches' adherence to our established processes.
- Quality Assurance:

Periodically review lessons and provide constructive feedback to coaches.
- Administrative:

Work closely with the CCC admin to schedule students and make sure coach calendars are properly maintained and monitored.
- Coach Recruitment & Training:

Participate in the hiring process for new coaches. This involves sourcing new talent, conducting two rounds of initial interviews, checking references, providing in-water training, leading a 3-hour book training session, and finally giving a verbal and in-water training exam.

  • Proven experience coaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Must be available for evening hours and occasional weekends.
