Payroll Specialist

We're looking for a skilled Accounting & Payroll Specialist to join a well-established industrial services company in College Station, Texas. In this role, you'll manage full-cycle payroll processing while supporting both accounts payable and receivable functions. It's a hands-on position that offers exposure to a wide range of accounting activities across multiple departments and job sites.
Responsibilities
:
- Process weekly payroll accurately and on time for multiple teams and locations.
- Review time entries, verify job and cost codes, and address any discrepancies.
- Maintain complete and compliant payroll records, including deductions and adjustments.
- Handle certified payroll reporting and assist with annual filings such as W-2s.
- Process vendor invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Prepare and send customer invoices while monitoring collections and aging reports.
- Contribute to month-end close processes and provide support during audits.
Qualifications
:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience handling both payroll and accounting responsibilities.
- Experience in construction, field services, or a similar industry is a plus.
- Working knowledge of job costing and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with payroll systems such as Paycom (or similar).
- Exceptional accuracy, confidentiality, and time management skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of detail.
