The Role
We are hiring our first Business Development Representative to support the Head of Partnerships and help scale Turnout's partner ecosystem. This role will source, screen, and qualify partnership opportunities across all of Turnout's verticals, including Social Security Disability, VA benefits, tax debt relief, and Medicare advocacy.
You will be responsible for building the top of the partnerships funnel, developing the first touch points with potential partners, and identifying opportunities that expand distribution, drive referrals, and grow Turnout's footprint. This is an onsite role in our Solana Beach office.
What You'll Do
- Research and identify potential partners in healthcare, financial, and community-based sectors
- Build and manage outbound outreach sequences including email, LinkedIn, and cold calling
- Pre qualify partners and evaluate fit across SSD, VA benefits, tax debt, and Medicare advocacy
- Book intro meetings and maintain a clean pipeline for the Head of Partnerships
- Track outreach, response rates, and progress in CRM tools
- Maintain a systematic understanding of partner types, economics, and value props
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine messaging and identify new categories of partners
- Support early partner onboarding tasks when needed
Ideal Profile
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or outbound sales development role
- Strong research skills and the ability to identify decision makers quickly
- Clear, concise communicator who is comfortable with a high volume of outreach
- Highly organized and process driven with strong CRM hygiene
- Excited about Turnout's mission and the category of consumer advocacy
- Comfortable working in a fast paced startup environment with evolving processes
- Onsite presence in our Solana Beach office
