Position Summary

Performs clerical and technical support services in Accounts Payable.

Essential Functions Of The Job

  • Date stamps and distributes all incoming mail, maintaining accurate records on a daily basis.
  • Ensures AP invoices and mileage reimbursement forms are coded to the appropriate site and department.
  • Processes AP invoice batches for data entry in Great Plains, verifying entries by comparing system reports to balance.
  • Ensures invoices are approved by the appropriate supervisor/management.
  • Works with the Payroll Team to ensure mileage reimbursements are paid correctly and on time.
  • Ensures invoices are paid in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with vendors and employees to resolve any invoice/mileage issues.
  • Submits AP invoices/mileage forms and check stubs in an orderly manner for scanning.
  • Assists with the weekly check run.
  • Assists with month-end closing.

Additional Duties And Responsibilities

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in current educational programs, service meetings, and workshops.
  • Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.

Job Requirements

Education Required:
High School Diploma

Certifications/Licenses Required:
None.

Experience Required:
6 months of Accounts Payable experience

Verbal and Written Skills Required:
Good oral and written communication

Technical Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of the accounts payable process
  • Knowledge of accounting software
  • Excel proficiency
  • Strong organizational and math skills

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Lifting of no more than 15 lbs.
