Duties
- Provide attentive care for children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood education, social skills, and physical development
- Support children's emotional needs by offering comfort, encouragement, and positive reinforcement
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Apply behavior management techniques to encourage good conduct and resolve conflicts effectively
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans that support each child's unique needs
- Stay informed on best practices in childhood development and early childhood education to enhance caregiving quality
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, or nannying roles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively and effectively in a classroom or caregiving environment
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children with patience and compassion
- Strong communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members clearly and professionally
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and respond calmly during emergencies
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or care needs as required by families or organizations
