Duties

  • Provide attentive care for children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood education, social skills, and physical development
  • Support children's emotional needs by offering comfort, encouragement, and positive reinforcement
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
  • Apply behavior management techniques to encourage good conduct and resolve conflicts effectively
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents
  • Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans that support each child's unique needs
  • Stay informed on best practices in childhood development and early childhood education to enhance caregiving quality

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, or nannying roles
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in working with children with disabilities is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively and effectively in a classroom or caregiving environment
  • Experience caring for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children with patience and compassion
  • Strong communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members clearly and professionally
  • Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and respond calmly during emergencies
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or care needs as required by families or organizations
