Position summary
The Boston Architectural College seeks an adjunct instructor for a 1.5-credit, 8-week, fully online asynchronous course. The course is required for graduate students in Sustainable Design and may serve as elective courses in programs across the college, including, but not limited to, historic preservation and urban design. The focus is on using visual communication to make clear, persuasive claims about sites, systems, and projects.
Course focus
Students work with real data, site conditions, and project narratives, producing diagrams, maps, infographics, and page layouts that communicate clearly to both technical and public audiences. The course combines software tutorials with instructor-led, project-based assignments using Adobe Creative Suite.
Duties Include
- Create 7-8 video lectures/demonstrations of key visual communication skills
- ·Identify necessary course materials, books, videos, ect
- Develop scaffold assignments, tasks, and learning goals
- Grade assignments and post feedback in a timely manner
- Communicate weekly with students, answer emails, and provide student support
