Residential Leasing Consultant

Corcoran Jennison Companies is looking for an enthusiastic and detailed Leasing Agent for the gorgeous Oak Hill Apartments, a very large mixed-income community in the Hill/Oakland area of Pittsburgh. This position is responsible for maximizing sales throughout the leasing process, from nurturing leads, conducting showings, and completing move-ins for our market-rate residents.

Core Responsibilities:

· Successful selling of apartments to prospects, providing excellent customer service at every stage of the process. Our human touch and responsiveness is truly what sets us apart from our competition and led to a 99% occupancy rate this season.

· Qualifying applicants, collecting appropriate information to complete third party verifications, processing credit and criminal records and act as liaison between prospect and management to ensure smooth move in.

· Processing and organizing prospect files, complete third-party verifications and background checks.

· Prepare lease, addendums, rules and regulations paperwork to be executed by management and prospect.

· Maintaining accurate and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the community, particularly in areas such as rent and pricing information, vacancies, apartment availability, amenities, etc.

· Other related tasks or special projects may be assigned by the Property Manager as necessary.

Education and Experience:

· High School diploma required

· Demonstrated experience with sales, real estate, or related industries

Job Requirements and Skills:

· Ability to work and think independently

· Ability to learn new computer systems and use them accurately

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Excellent written, verbal, and persuasive communication skills

· Able to ascend/descend stairs and traverse uneven terrain to access all areas of the properties; Able to walk and climb stairs for an extended duration

· Able to use a computer for a full workday

Commission for each move-in. Commissions may be $5,000-$10,000+ per year depending on the agent's performance.

Schedule:

· Monday to Saturday during normal business hours, with one day off mid-week

· Saturday hours are required but can alternate weeks with coworkers during the slow season
