The position of Safety and Security Monitor Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing comprehensive campus security screening and safety operations to ensure a secure learning and working environment for students, staff, visitors, and the school community. This position provides managerial oversight of security personnel and screening processes during school hours and after-hours events, ensuring that all individuals entering school facilities are properly screened in accordance with district policies and safety protocols.

Provide leadership, oversight, and coordination of daily school security screening operations to ensure all students, staff, and visitors are properly screened and cleared prior to entering school buildings. Collaborates with law enforcement, school administrators, and other stakeholders to maintain secure and efficient operations.Supervise and support security personnel responsible for operating weapons detection systems, X-ray machines, and other screening equipment during school hours and after-hours events. Ensure all assigned staff complete required training, certifications, and ongoing refresher training related to security screening equipment and procedures.Coordinate and collaborate with school administrators, district security officers (MSCS Officers), and local law enforcement to maintain a unified approach to campus safety. Monitor compliance with screening protocols, including hand-wand, hands-free, physical, and bag searches, ensuring consistency, professionalism, and student-centered practices. Respond to and manage incidents involving unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, or screening violations, ensuring timely notification to appropriate school authorities.Oversee daily activity reporting and electronic logs, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.Conduct site visits and operational reviews to assess screening effectiveness, staff performance, and adherence to safety procedures.Address inquiries, concerns, and issues related to school security operations in a timely, professional, and solution-focused manner.Ensure security operations align with district policies, legal requirements, and the district's vision, mission, goals, and priorities.Model and reinforce proactive safety practices, encouraging staff to identify, report, and mitigate security risks before incidents occur.Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.Minimum QualificationsGraduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, Education Administration, Business Management or a related area plus an additional five (5) years related experience or equivalent for a total education/experience of nine (9) years. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor's Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master's Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where master's degrees are required, years for bachelor's Degrees must be included.
