. This role is part of WWT's Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT's preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is
$60.00 to $65.00
hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.

Oracle Database Specialist

Denver, CO

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience deploying, migrating, and refreshing Oracle Database VMs. Candidates should possess at least intermediate Linux skills, such as Red Hat or Oracle Linux, and have experience with Oracle Database cluster setup and VM setup.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy Oracle Exadata Database VMs using the OCI console and automation tools.
  • Collaborate with Oracle and internal teams to install hardware to expand capacity for deployments as needed.
  • Understand the Exadata hardware installation process and be able to learn the full steps of the process.
  • Assist with VM Server build queue using automation tools when database deployments are not occurring.
  • Coordinate hardware installations and decommissions of systems.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Intermediate Linux skills (Red Hat or Oracle Linux).
  • Experience with Oracle Database cluster setup and VM setup.
  • Familiarity with the Oracle OCI console for EXACC.
  • Proficiency in Ansible playbook execution.
  • Oracle Linux troubleshooting to validate builds.
  • Knowledge of DNS, Nebula pipeline, and cable guides.
