Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to target new business opportunities within assigned territories.
- Conduct outside sales efforts through cold calling, face-to-face meetings, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Manage existing accounts by providing excellent customer service, identifying upselling opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Generate leads through market research, networking events, and leveraging CRM software to track prospects and sales activities.
- Present tailored product demos and technical solutions to clients, highlighting features that meet their specific needs.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to close sales effectively while maintaining profitability.
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, pipeline status, and customer interactions using CRM tools like Salesforce for accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop territory-specific campaigns that boost brand awareness and lead generation efforts.
- Manage territory sales by analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine strategies continuously.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales or B2B sales with a focus on technology or industrial products preferred.
- Strong management skills with the ability to handle multiple accounts and territories efficiently.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills essential for building lasting client relationships.
- Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms for lead tracking and account management.
- Demonstrated ability in business development, lead generation, and direct sales techniques including cold calling.
- Knowledge of marketing principles and how they apply to territory management and customer engagement strategies.
- Analytical skills to assess market data, identify opportunities for upselling or new business growth.
- Ability to deliver compelling product demos that clearly communicate value propositions.
- Customer service orientation combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
