Job description

  • Reviews charges daily in the practice management system accurately and in accordance with information reflected in clinical documentation including but not limited to CPT/modifiers, diagnoses, providers, units provided and service location
  • Completes all third party electronic and manual billing timely and accurately in accordance with appropriate rules and regulations
  • Daily claim denial management, including claims correction and resubmission
  • Working daily clearinghouse rejection reports
  • Analysis and resolution of outstanding insurance accounts receivable
  • Resolves issues associated with incomplete claims including follow up of non-transmitted claims
  • Applying private and government payer policies
  • Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe.
  • Files appeals according to payor guidelines and with all pertinent documents and clinical documentation using payor websites and available technology.
  • Complete insurance authorization for medications and procedures

Minimum Requirements/ Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Minimum of two years of medical billing experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting required.

Candidates with OBGYN or Greenway Prime Suite experience preferred.

· Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD10 coding and guidelines.

· Experience with working in a Pain Management Clinic setting.

· Familiarity with web-based audit tools

· Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

· The ability to multitask

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Exceptional attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time
