The Director of Project Management will provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for all project management activities within Astro Pak's Field Services division. This person will play a key role in building, scaling, and leading a high-performing department that consistently delivers predictable, high-quality results on complex, high-value projects.

This is a highly visible leadership role that requires a balance of strategic thinking, operational structure, and people development. You will partner closely with executive leadership, operations, engineering, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with company goals.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement Astro Pak's project management strategy, framework, and best practices for scalability and consistency across all projects
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Project Managers—building accountability, capability, and collaboration
  • Oversee the execution of complex, multimillion-dollar projects ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives
  • Establish clear project governance, including tools, templates, reporting structures, and performance metrics to drive transparency and results
  • Partner with executive leadership to align project priorities, resource allocation, and long-term goals with business objectives
  • Act as the senior escalation point for project-related challenges, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Oversee financial performance of the project portfolio, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Finance—to ensure smooth project handoffs and delivery
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients and stakeholders, providing visibility into project progress, risks, and outcomes
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional growth within the department
  • Ensure compliance with all company standards, safety requirements, and U.S. Export Control Laws

What You'll Bring

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Business, or related field required
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred
  • PMP certification required; PgMP or advanced equivalent strongly preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification a plus

Experience

  • 10–15 years of progressive project management experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing multiple PMs or teams
  • Proven success building or scaling a project management organization within a technical, industrial, or construction environment
  • Experience leading large, complex projects with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of piping system commissioning processes (hydronic flushing, passivation, etc.) required
  • Industry experience in Pharmaceutical, Data Center, Food & Beverage, or Aerospace environments preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
