Overview
We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair, restoration, and automotive painting, with proficiency in various repair techniques and tools. This role offers an opportunity to work on a diverse range of vehicles, utilizing advanced skills in welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance to deliver high-quality results. Candidates with experience in auto body work and mechanical knowledge are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Work hours are 8:00am-5:00pm
- Perform comprehensive auto body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and sheet metal work
- Conduct auto restoration projects with precision and attention to detail
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques to repair or fabricate parts
- Operate power tools, hand tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment efficiently
- Apply auto paint using airless spray systems to achieve a flawless finish
- Replace or repair auto glass as needed with careful handling and installation
- Conduct vehicle detailing to ensure a clean and professional appearance post-repair
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks related to bodywork and mechanical components
- Assist with auto estimating and customer service interactions when necessary
- Heavy lifting of vehicle parts or components safely and effectively
Requirements
- Proven experience as an auto body technician or similar role within an automotive repair environment
- Dealership experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Proficiency in MIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, soldering, and auto painting techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as airless paint sprayers
- Knowledge of auto glass replacement and auto restoration processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good customer service skills for interacting with clients when necessary
- Automotive repair or mechanic experience is highly desirable
