Position Summary:

Ethos Biosciences is seeking a motivated and results-driven Manager, Business Development to drive sales growth and support customers in the scientific community. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific/technical background, proven sales experience in a scientific products-based company, and a passion for customer engagement. This role requires significant travel to meet with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of technical sales representatives (outside and inside), focusing on professional development and strategic goal alignment.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies that align with customer and channel needs and market demands, driving sales growth across multiple verticals to achieve revenue targets.
  • Establish metrics to track the success of technical sales initiatives and report on performance against targets.
  • Identify and engage with prospective customers in the life sciences, biotechnology, and diagnostic industries, leveraging industry knowledge to identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding our market presence.
  • Provide technical expertise and product recommendations to customers by overseeing the creation and delivery of technical presentations and product demonstrations that effectively communicate the benefits of Ethos Biosciences solutions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to support sales efforts, communicate customer feedback and influence product development priorities.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and reports using CRM (HubSpot) software.
  • Represent Ethos Biosciences at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • 7-10 years of sales experience in technical sales or solution engineering in a a scientific products-based company, with a proven track record of success.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of technical products and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, actionable insights for clients.
  • Proven ability to drive strategic partnerships and influence key decision-makers at the Director, VP and Executive level.
  • Existing network of contacts within the life sciences and healthcare laboratory industry and product distribution channels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and customer service.
  • Ability to travel frequently (up to 50% of the time).
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (preferably HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling scientific reagents, diagnostics, or life science products.
  • Background in sales/account management, channel management, lead generation, or customer relationship building.
