Accounting & Payroll Specialist
We're looking for an Accounting & Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate payroll processing and providing support across accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
What You'll Do
Prepare, verify, and process weekly payroll for multiple departments and job sites.
Review timesheets, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate job and cost coding.
Maintain payroll records, deductions, and adjustments in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Assist with certified payroll submissions, prevailing wage compliance, and year-end W-2 processes.
Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payments; reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and issue customer invoices, track receivables, and follow up on outstanding balances.
Support month-end closing activities and provide documentation for audits.
What You'll Bring
Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field — or 1-2 years of relevant payroll/accounting experience.
Strong understanding of payroll systems, job costing, and general accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Paycom or similar software preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
