Human Resources Business Partner (Full-Time, On-Site)

About the Role
In this role, you serve as both strategist and steward—aligning organizational goals with the heartbeat of its people. You will partner deeply with leadership to shape a workplace grounded in trust, performance, and operational clarity. This is a hands-on, full-time, on-site position supporting a high-growth environment where compliance, compassion, and innovation intersect.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce strategy, organizational health, and talent development.
- Evaluate people-related trends and advise on proactive solutions.
- Guide managers toward balanced, principled decisions rooted in policy and best practice.
Employee Relations & Performance
- Lead complex employee relations matters, including coaching conversations, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct fair, efficient investigations—documenting findings, drafting summaries, and advising on next steps.
- Partner with managers on performance management, development planning, and meeting regulatory compliance.
Compensation, Payroll, & Benefits
- Support payroll processing and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and system integrity.
- Partner with benefits administrators to guide employee enrollment, troubleshoot issues, and manage communication cycles.
- Maintain a pulse on competitive market trends to support compensation and total rewards decisions.
Systems & Operations
- Oversee HRIS and payroll systems to ensure accurate data, reporting, and compliance.
- Maintain strong documentation practices and drive process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Develop and refine workforce dashboards, headcount reports, and analytics to inform leadership.
Compliance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (HIPAA, FMLA, CFRA, ADA, wage/hour, etc.).
- Partner with Legal on investigations and risk mitigation strategies.
- Support policy design, training, rollout, and education across the organization.
Culture & Organizational Development
- Champion cultural values while contributing to employee engagement strategies.
- Support programs for DE&I, leadership development, and employee recognition.
- Contribute to onboarding and talent integration to ensure smooth transitions for new hires.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of HRBP or generalist experience with demonstrated strength in employee relations.
- Advanced understanding of HR best practices, HR operations, and compliance.
- Experience managing investigations with discretion, neutrality, and clear documentation.
- Hands-on experience with payroll platforms and HRIS systems (Workday, ADP, Paycom strongly preferred).
- Strong communication and advisory skills with the ability to influence managers constructively.
Preferred
- Experience within healthcare, biotech, medical systems, or related regulatory environments.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification.
- Familiarity with union environments, change management, and scaling organizations.
