Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as OPEN DENTAL
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits , handle insurance claims and follow-up on outstanding balances.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including updating personal information and collecting co-payments.
  • Maintain accurate dental records and medical documentation, review intake forms, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; address patient inquiries promptly and professionally.

  • Support office management tasks like filing medical records, organizing documentation review processes, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely appointment scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to navigate multiple software platforms efficiently.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processes.
  • Ability to multi-task is required.
