Job Description: Business Development Manager
Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to extend our reach through skilled discovery and the formation of new business opportunities and relationships focused on our end-user markets. These are existing businesses with need for keyless access control, fire alarm, security, CCTV, Nurse Call, communications, controls, and A/V. (These markets include hospitals, commercial offices, industrial, governments, retail, utilities, apartments, etc.)
Responsibilities of this Role:
- Focus on growing profitability, revenue, and customer satisfaction through acquiring net new business.
- Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, and pursue opportunities in alignment with agreed-upon company objectives.
- Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline
- Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and provide effective solutions for closure.
- Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have demonstrated B2B consultative sales experience as a direct contributor carrying an individual quota.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Must have a successful track record of over-quota sales achievements and negotiations, including formulating deal structures. Comfortable selling to Director and Executive level.
- The candidate must be effective with communication and communicate (written/verbal) clearly and concisely paying attention to detail, word choice, grammar, etiquette, punctuation, and spelling.
- Experience selling one or more of the following technology solutions: technology/software platforms, fire alarm, building controls, security, access control, CCTV, critical communications, nurse call, network infrastructure, or A/V.
