What you'll do

  • Install and configure alarm systems, including sensors and CCTV cameras,
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on security systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair alarm system malfunctions using your mechanical knowledge and technical skills.
  • Utilize computer networking skills to integrate alarm systems with existing infrastructure.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls using remote access software.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in security technology.

Basic qualifications

  • Proficient in low voltage electrical work and cabling techniques.
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools for installation and repair tasks.

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous field service or service technician experience in the security or telecommunications industry.
  • Familiarity with schematics related to alarm system design and installation.
  • Understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards as they relate to alarm systems.
