**About the Role:**

Our client, a respected fire protection contractor, is looking for a **Fire Alarm Technician** in Washington State. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician with a **NICET certification** in fire alarm systems, who has a strong background in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems. As a vital part of the team, you'll work on various commercial and industrial projects, ensuring that systems are properly installed, maintained, and compliant with code requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Fire Alarm System Installation & Maintenance: **  

  - Install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain fire alarm systems, ensuring full functionality and compliance with local, state, and NFPA codes.

  - Program fire alarm control panels, detectors, and other devices to ensure proper operation and integration within the overall fire protection system.

  - Inspect and diagnose systems for performance issues and conduct necessary repairs or upgrades.

- **Code Compliance & Testing: **  

  - Perform routine inspections and tests to verify systems are operating in compliance with fire codes and industry standards.

  - Document all tests, inspections, and maintenance activities, ensuring accurate record-keeping for each project.

  - Coordinate with local authorities for system testing and inspections, securing necessary approvals for system operation.

- **Client Interaction & Support: **  

  - Communicate effectively with clients to understand system requirements and provide updates on maintenance or repair needs.

  - Provide clear guidance to clients on system operation and answer any technical questions to ensure safety and satisfaction.

  - Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach to building positive relationships with clients.

- **Team Collaboration & Safety Compliance: **  

  - Work closely with other technicians, project managers, and engineers to coordinate and complete installations.

  - Follow all company and safety protocols, using appropriate PPE and adhering to health and safety standards on-site.

**Qualifications:**

- NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems (Level I minimum; Level II or higher preferred).

- 3+ years of experience in fire alarm installation, testing, and maintenance.

- Familiarity with a variety of fire alarm control panel brands and systems.

- In-depth understanding of NFPA codes and regulations related to fire alarm systems.

- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical details clearly.

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Washington State to various client sites.
