About the Role

The Head of Marketing is the architect of Fanbase's growth engine. This leader blends creative instinct + cultural savvy with analytical discipline to drive user acquisition, creator adoption, investor engagement, and brand visibility. The ideal candidate is fluent in content and social strategy, skilled in analytics and experimentation, and confident operating at the intersection of culture, creators, partnerships, and product.

This role requires a forward-thinking operator who understands persuasion and scores success through conversion. You will connect content, social, analytics, product marketing, community, and partnerships into one unified conversion engine. You will introduce structure, insight, and intentionality into a fast-moving startup environment and help raise the bar across the organization by grounding creative ideas in data, research, and performance.

You must be confident enough to lead, humble enough to listen and learn, skilled enough to bring receipts, and courageous enough to influence leadership and partners when the data and best practices point to a better path. This is a role with a senior leadership trajectory.

Responsibilities

Content and Social Strategy

  • Lead a unified content and social strategy designed to grow daily activity, creator engagement, platform reach, and cultural relevance.
  • Oversee content programming across formats, including video, short form, audio, live content, and emerging vertical formats.
  • Develop messaging frameworks and creative direction that resonate with and persuade creators, cultural communities, and general audiences.

Growth, Analytics, and Conversion

  • Establish and champion a data-first mindset across marketing and the company.
  • Build and maintain dashboards (with assistance) for acquisition, retention, conversion, monetization, and creator performance.
  • Run growth experiments, message tests, and iteration loops that improve performance week over week.
  • Collaborate with the product to refine onboarding, notification systems, feature adoption, and engagement flow.s

Go-to-Market for New Features and Content Formats

  •  Architect structured GTM strategies for new features, events, content formats, and monetization tools.
  • Partner with product to translate features into simple, compelling value propositions
  • Oversee creation of demos, explainers, playbooks, testimonials, walkthroughs, and educational content for creators and investors.

Creator Marketing and Community

  • Lead marketing programs that attract, educate, and activate creators across key verticals, including entrepreneurship, music, lifestyle, wellness, sports, film, TV, comedy, education, film, and others.
  • Build case studies that showcase creator earnings, platform success stories, and cultural and community impact.
  • Support cultural programs and events that reflect the platform's mission of ownership and equity.

Investor Engagement and Community Marketing

  • Develop marketing rhythms that communicate progress, vision, and traction to Fanbase's investor community.
  • Support messaging for updates, campaigns, and initiatives that motivate, inform, and activate investors
  • Understand the importance of investor engagement as a unique growth lever in Fanbase's ecosystem.

Partnership and Collaboration Support

  • Collaborate with the partnerships team to amplify creator programs, brand collaborations, and community activations.
  • Understand the strategic role partnerships play in content, culture, and distributio.n
  • Integrate partner and creator initiatives into content and marketing plans in a cohesive way.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Coach and elevate an existing content-driven team toward more structured, data-informed, conversion-oriented execution
  • Build cross-functional alignment with product, partnerships, engineering, community, and senior leadership
  • Represent Fanbase publicly when appropriate. Comfortable on camera is preferred but not required
  • Introduce processes, insights, and best practices that help the entire organization make better decisions

  • Fluent in or deeply empathetic to Black culture and its role in shaping American and global culture
  • Curious, proactive, rapid learner with strong pattern recognition
  • Passionate about creator monetization and platform growth
  • Operator mentality. Sees what needs to be done and moves it forward

Qualifications

  • 6 to 10 years in content marketing, social marketing, growth, product marketing, or related roles
  • Track record of scaling consumer apps or creator-focused platforms
  • Proficiency in social and analytics tools such as Sprout, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Data Studio, or similar
  • Experience working with creators, cultural communities, or entertainment ecosystems
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and communication skills
  • Comfortable with fast-moving startup environments
  • Atlanta-based or willing to relocate
