Summary

Under the direction of the Central Station Shift Supervisor the general function of the Dispatch Operator is to respond to Security Activations, by initiating outbound calls to the customer to confirm the alarm and dispatch appropriate agencies when necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Initiates outbound calls to customers, emergency contacts, and responding agencies.
  • Maintains a service-oriented attitude when dealing with customers, always conveying professionalism and a desire to help.
  • Records information in customer account history regarding the nature of the call, customers' comments, and specific operator action taken.
  • Initiates customer account changes by completing a Subscriber Change form for the Data Entry department.
  • Must meet or exceed response time and productivity of 37-47 calls per hour.
  • Must attend scheduled shift meetings and company training meetings and seminars.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a call center or position involving multi-line telephone system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the telephone and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude at all times when assisting customers.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based system.
  • Type 20 wpm
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Desire to cross train in other company positions.
Comments

Position requires the ability to work weekends, over-time, and if necessary fill in on other than assigned shifts. Position may require overnight travel.
