Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Server to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring they have an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and experience in food service environments. As a key point of contact for guests, you will manage reservations, seating arrangements, and provide attentive service throughout their visit.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
  • Escort guests to their tables and present menus with enthusiasm
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems
  • Relay orders to kitchen staff promptly and accurately
  • Provide attentive and friendly service, addressing guest needs promptly
  • Handle guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining excellent phone etiquette
  • Assist with guest relations to ensure satisfaction and resolve any concerns effectively
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and dining area
  • Support serving staff during busy periods as needed to ensure smooth operations
  • Uphold hospitality standards by demonstrating excellent guest services at all times

Qualifications

  • Previous host/host or food service experience preferred but not required
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse guests
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
  • Experience in restaurant or hotel environments is advantageous
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Professional phone etiquette and guest relations skills are essential
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if required
