The Administrative Assistant for the Sewer Authority provides essential clerical and administrative support to assist with the daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support & Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documents related to sewer operations.
- Maintain the time off calendar for the Sewer Authority.
- Create yearly master reports
- Prepare monthly reports for the Authority Board
- Maintain monthly sewer worksheets
- Monthly Pump Station logs
- Maintain biosolids log and reporting
- Asset Management
Customer Service & Communication
- Provide customer service support by responding to customer calls.
- Research payment issues and process billing adjustments
Office & Financial Support:
- Count cash drawer daily
- Assist with processing invoices, entering payments, printing checks and other financial assistance.
- Enter repair orders and purchase orders
- Coordinate various administrative tasks to ensure efficient department operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a public works environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Preferably Excel
